Cooling system hose

The hose of the automobile cooling system connects the engine and the radiator and transfers heat through the coolant. It can be subdivided into a radiator hose (resistant to high temperature) and a heater hose (resistant to high temperature and pulse vibration). The working water temperature is usually 125 ℃.

The reinforced layer materials of the cooling system hose are mainly para-aramid fiber and polyester fiber. Usually para-aramid fiber, SHOTON can provide good heat resistance and can work at 160C for a long time. In addition, the SHOTON series of aramid can withstand higher temperatures, and the long-term service temperature can reach 190C.

Air conditioning system hose

The earliest refrigerant in automobile air conditioning systems is freon. Because freon will destroy the ozone layer, it is completely banned in our country after 2000, and the refrigerant used at present is R134a.

The rubber hose of its air conditioning system usually uses nylon as the barrier layer material, EPDM rubber for the outer rubber layer, polyester fiber, or polyvinyl acetal (vinylon) fiber for the middle reinforcement layer, and aramid fiber for a small amount. Polyester fiber is the most widely used in China.

The next generation of automotive air-conditioning systems will use carbon dioxide as a refrigerant. Carbon dioxide is an excellent refrigerant for environmental protection, but it needs to be used under supercritical conditions as a refrigerant in an air conditioning system, which puts forward higher requirements for temperature resistance, pressure resistance, and permeability resistance of rubber hose. It is a good choice to use para-aramid fiber as reinforcement material. At present, rubber hose manufacturers at home and abroad have studied this technology.

Turbocharged hose

Usually, the turbocharged hose can be divided into high-temperature hose and low-temperature hose after passing through the intercooler. Among them, the service temperature of the rubber hose in the high-temperature section is higher, usually up to 210 ℃, and the common reinforced layer materials (such as polyester fiber and nylon fiber) can not bear such high temperature at all.

SHOTON series aramid yarns can withstand high temperatures for a long time and are widely used in turbocharged hoses.
